Class Antics - Week 3

This week has been filled with a lot of visits to some amazing galleries around London. In the National Portrait Gallery we saw an exhibition spanning the entire career of Cindy Sherman, a female photographer who constantly tackles the ideas of female presence in society. In the Victoria Albert Museum, we saw many prints by photographers of the past. Of two I am pictured with below, the left image is a photograph by Eugene Atget, who photographed Paris streets in the mid 19th century, and the right image is a cyanotype photogram by Anna Atkins, who is considered to be one of the first female figures in photography.
