Class Antics - Week One - 1
Last week was filled with multiple opportunities to meet new people and try new photographic techniques, the most elaborate and extensive of these was a talk given by the London Stereoscopic Company. For those of you who don't know, a Stereoscope is an invention made in the mid 1800's which allows you to look at two separate images, one with each eye, at the same time. The images are of the same object, scene, person, but taken a slightly different angles for each eye. This slight difference, when in focus, allows you to "see in 3D". The talk was very informative and exciting, and later this semester we will be making our own stereo cards with images we made throughout the semester. Below are some images of the things the LSC brought to their talk including, a camera with multiple lenses, the first 3D comic book, a stereo card about the story of Puss-n-Boots, and the first ever Stereo device. Enjoy.
